Flange

I Challenge You!!!!

GOD and Flange

On October 22nd 1879, Thomas Edison successfully tested and implemented electricity subsequently providing homes with light, warmth and power. Since then humans have thrived on this legendary source of power, therefore the argument rises, is Edison a GOD? However, in the old fashioned ideologies of GOD's one never hears of shared power. You are probably wondering, why I am writing about electricity and power? But the concepts that lie underneath my learnings are all highly relevant.

Lord Flange, after an intense and swift come back faced a wall of terror known by most atheists as GOD. 3-0 was the total game score leaving Flange worn down and depressed with defeated. GOD's power was overwhelming. However, in the unlikely turn of events GOD and Flange united and discovered a new source of power more terrifying than the hammer of Thor. Thus the sharing of power. But who was this newly found might used against? The answer is, Joe and Daniel, together known as 'The Cod fillets' or 'Brokeback Mountain'. These reigning champions, in all truthfullness had become a formidable force. Although as of now, they are merely jiblets. Alister Darling commented on the game, "If i could have waged on GOD and Flange to win I could have saved this country's economy." Thank Alister Darling.

In sum, watch out GOD and Flange are in town.

Beware of the GOD

He said, "Have you seen enough, son of man? Isn't it bad enough that Judah engages in these outrageous gaming? They fill the country with violence and now provoke me even further with their obscene gestures. That's it. They have an angry God on their hands! From now on, no mercy. They can shout all they want, but I'm not listening."

Showdown

After a devastating defeat Shaka the Horrible is weakened. Robby sees his opportunity to seize the power from his nemesis cold hands.

A final show down between the two awaits for the throne of the Kingdom of a thousand heads. The challenge has been brought.

Will Robby be victorious in his noble quest or will he be vanquished by the overwhelming powers of Shaka? Victory and he can bask in the eternal glory as ruler of the kingdom of a thousand heads, defeat and he will live with the eternal shame.

Only one thing is certain. Only one of them can leave the field of battle with head held high.

The challenge has been brought.

It's not the size of the wave, it's the motion of the ocean...

At 13.08 Lord Flange's red defender slammed home a terrific goal that brought about a long overdue win which brought a tear to the eyes of GOD himself, to which GOD I refer to is left down to the readers opinion. This famous victory supported views made earlier in this blog made by top scientists that Lord Flange is truely making a come back. Shakker's is consequently back to the drawing board as his outdated tactics are evidently prooving fatal game after game, leaving spectators wondering who is Mike? Boris Johnson, Mayer of London, spoke after the game, "This match have been an inspiration to us all, in this light I shall be watching Lord Flange eagerly, as the 2012 Olympics loom closer day by day." 10-6 was the final score after being 5-2 down, demonstrating a player who can raise hopes and crush them in a non so pugnacious maner.

As recently acclaimed table football critics suggest Lord Flange is to soon make an astonishing come back, one that could apparently "bring kings to their knees, and oceans to boil!" said top spokesman of the NTFA (National Table Football Association) Britney Spears. Although, other sources suggest that the Shack attack is going into recession after being brutally beaten, in his mind, by a child the age of two with one arm. Meanwhile in the Cheong camp, associates reveal that Joe has played many of his games intoxicated with the drug ketamine, a horse tranquilizer that can calm nerves and increase fluke. Sports analysists are currently looking into the issue.

Shaka is not the king of 1000heads!

I won 10-9 against Shaka. Shaka is not the King like he says he is. Rock on Gay J!!!

Week 2!!!

Well, new week.

I know that I'm a little late with last weeks Ladder update but better late than never, eh?

I've implemented the new scoring system which will take into account how many games you have won out of how many games you have played, but also how many games you've won out of the total number of games.

I think that's the best way to ensure a fair result.

Player NameNumber of GamesWinsLossesGoals+/-Ladder Points
Fransisco119247(!!!)1164
Shaka127514852
Joe633-8615
Robby4224577
Sam8355490
John826-21327
Daniel202-90
Jon00000

Once again, Fransisco took first place, Shaka climbed to second and Joe trailing just ahead of me (Robby).

Who knows, maybe next week I'm number one?

Taking Shaka's Comment to Heart

Okay, after some fiddeling in Excel I maanaged to make a Ladder system that I believe will result in much more accurate scores.

Deviding the matches won with matches played. So, here's the revised Ladder...

Player NameNumber of GamesWinsLossesGoals+/-Ladder Points
Fransisco330131000
Joe4318750
Shaka75215714
Jon2111500
Robby312-6333
Sam514-12200
John101-30
Daniel202-120

The new Ladder points are a little different... But I believe this is much fairer.

Noble of Shaka to point out the flawed system, sadly for him it lost him the first place and knocked him down to third.

Week One Ladder

Finally here it is. This week was brief since the records began on Wednesday, but nontheless, the results are in.

A total of 21 matches were played, 14 singles matches and 7 doubles.

And the winner for this week is.....

SHAKA!

With 5 matches won and 15 goals in goal difference he placed as number one on this weeks ladder.

After him, unbeaten, is Fransisco.

And in third place, right behind Fransisco is Joe.

However, on the other end of the scale, with 2 matches lost out of 2 matches played is Daniel.

Just ahead of him is John with one match lost and a goal difference of -3.

And above John with a winning statistic of 1 and a goal difference of -12, is Sam.

Here is the complete list:

Player NameNumber of GamesWinsLossesGoals+/-Ladder Points
Shaka752155
Fransisco330133
Joe43183
Jon21111
Robby312-61
Sam514-121
John101-30
Daniel202-120

There we have it folks... Good week, next one looks promising. Also, you gonna let Shaka hog the table as much as he did?

Did he win because of Quality, or Quantity?

Fight for the lead!

At closing time it was time for the final match of the week.

Robby valiantly took on Fransisco, the unbeaten master.

It started well for Robby on the blue side, the two players were evenly matched, scoring one goal each. But at half time the score was 5-4 to Fransisco, from there on out Robby's game disappeared.

Angled shots, lucky bounces. The ball curved around Robby's defences and he was helpless to withstand Fransisco's brutal attacks.

The end results were 10-6 to Fransisco, placing him high on the weekly ladder with three straight wins.

Robby was saddened...

Shaka opens with a lucky win

Sam 4 Shaka 10

Leading 2-0 after just a few minutes play Shaka stunned the host with 2 flukey goals in a matter of seconds. Sam had put up a stern defence up until two undefendable deflections drew Shaka level. Buckingham was clearly boosted by this slice of luck and he raised his performance quickly taking the lead and extending it. There were signs of a fightback with a spectacular effort from Sam and an own goal by Shaka. It looked for a short while like the game could take a twist. But another lucky strike from Shaka sealed the win.

Even spectators were baffled as to how the man nicknamed The Crab pulled a win out of the bag, one even suggested there may have been something untoward in the way the game was won.

Debute Match, Shaka VS Sam!

The first match is on.

Good luck fellas.
